Reconstruction

Last week Major E.D. Townsend, late of the army, bought of Mr. R.D. Farley, his farm in New Kent, known as Providence Forge. The farm contains some thirteen hundred acres, and the price paid was $9,500. Several other parties from the North, and five or six Germans, have purchased and settled on farms in the same neighborhood.
